When I first met my patient in the inpatient rehabilitation
unit, she was so weakened and debilitated that she was unable to lift her head
off the pillow. One of our first OT sessions was working on compensatory
strategies to move her head while in bed. Today she saw me from the end of the
hall in the outpatient clinic and ran to give me a hug!
