I first started working with “Jonas” when he was about three
years old. Jonas had autism, was non-verbal, and had difficulty participating
in most activities. I remember that Jonas always gave me a workout- he’d frog
hop across the room, swing and spin with reckless abandon. He was always
loving, but always moving. I felt I struggled working with him, until I
received a letter from his mom thanking me because that year (age five) he was finally
able to sit on Santa’s lap for a photo!!
